Using Pump Curves:
There are (3) kinds of curves offered on our site:
(Click your choice)
1. Graph Curves - Organized by gallons
2. Becker's Number Curves - Organized by gallons
3. Becker's Number Curves - Organized by horsepower
By the time you've linked into any of the above curve formats, you will have already determined the gallons per minute you will be pumping and at what head in feet you will need to accomodate. This was accomplished by using our TDH Calculators.
You will find the "sweet spot" on the graph curves by staying as close to the center of the shaded blue area as possible with the pump that gives you the desired gallons per minute and at the necessary head in feet. Click & view this example below:
On the number curves, you will want your specifications met in "sweet spot" which is in the center range of the numbers shown with the pump that you are considering. Click & view this example below:
During the various conditions and pressures of pump operation, you do not want to get out of the numbers (or out of the shaded blue area) when the pump of your choice is used.
Remember, you can answer the questions on the questionaire form from our site and email or fax it to us and we'll help you choose the best fit for your installation. Or you can use "contact us" to reach us.
